The game is stopped and the ref blows for the sub to be made. The player being substituted refuses to come off, and then the game continues as though nothing has happened, without the substitution being completed.<br><br>My belief was that when the Ref blows for the sub to be made, then it has to happen, but, obviously, my assumptions were quite wrong.
